Therapeutic Yoga differs from drop-in gym style classes in that the focus is on the nervous system and on the practice of interoception (an awareness of what is happening inside the body). While some poses may be physically challenging, they are approached through stages with an emphasis on trusting the intuition and wisdom of the body.
